He told reporters today that the actions of the Speaker resulted in the events which took place in Parliament over the past few days. Abeywardena also said that similar incidents were seen in the Japanese Parliament as well where MPs had clashed.
A woman was injured in a robbery on Robinson Street in Simcoe early Saturday morning.The woman was walking east on Robinson Street near Norfolk Street South at about 3:30 a.m. when she was approached from behind by an unknown man demanding money.The man brandished an edged weapon and injured the woman before fleeing the area on foot, Norfolk OPP said in a media release.The woman ran to her residence where she called 911. She was transported to hospital for treatment of her injuries and released.Police searched the area but did not find the suspect, who is described as a white male, about six-feet tall with a deep toned voice.
