VOLUNTARY PLANNING BOARD -Task Force Extends Public FeedbackDeadline The Voluntary Planning Task Force on Off-Highway Vehicles hasextended the deadline for public input on its off-highway vehicleinterim report. The public now has until Wednesday, March 31 to submit theircomments to the task force. “It’s important that people have enough time to read the reportand make comments or recommendations,” said David Bellefontaine,chair of the task force. “It is an extensive document, and wecontinue to encourage feedback from Nova Scotians.” The interim report, released on Feb. 12, outlines measures toimprove public safety, protect the environment, establish adesignated trail network, empower landowners, and provide moreeffective policing of recreational off-highway vehicles. Thereport is available online at www.gov.ns.ca/vp or at Access NovaScotia centres across the province.
