first_imgA man threw his partner and her daughter out of a car and then punched and kicked a Garda in the groin as he tried to arrest him.Dean Bradley appeared at Letterkenny District Court in Co Donegal following the drunken episode. Gardai were called by the distraught woman when Bradley, 28, went berserk at Carrigart on August 4th 2017.He kicked the woman and her daughter out of the Fiat Punto car and attempted to get behind the wheel.Gardai arrived and tried to arrest Bradley but he punched one of them in the chest and tried to run away.Gardai pursued him but he then kicked one of the Gardai in the groin but as he tried to give chase, Bradley then slammed a gate on him.The accused man was finally apprehended when he fell head-first into a ditch injuring his mouth.When arresting him, Bradley then began to spit blood at the Gardai.The court was told that Bradley had become a different man since his foster mother died in 2012.He now had mental health issues but was trying to address them as best as he could and was now living in England with a partner and is holding down a job in construction.Judge Paul Kelly asked if the Gardai were seriously injured in the incident but were told that they did not require medical attention but had been sore as a result of the attack.Bradley publically apologised to both Gardai saying “I’m really sorry.
