first_img Associated Press Television News COMMENT Standing in solidarity with the NBA’s Milwaukee Bucks, the Milwaukee Brewers and Cincinnati Reds players elected not to take the field Wednesday for their scheduled game at Miller Park.Brewers players made the call Wednesday afternoon about three hours before the scheduled first pitch, and about an hour after the Bucks refused to take the floor of Game 5 of their playoff series against the Magic in response to the recent shooting of Jacob Blake by a police officer in Kenosha, Wisconsin.In a statement, Major League Baseball said, “Given the pain in the communities of Wisconsin and beyond following the shooting of Jacob Blake, we respect the decisions of a number of players not to play tonight.
