BUCKSPORT — The Ellsworth and Bucksport boys’ and girls’ basketball teams split a pair of scrimmages Friday, with the Golden Bucks winning the girls’ contest and the Eagles winning on the boys’ side.Ellsworth was missing starter Katelynn Bagley for the girls’ game, and Bucksport took advantage. Although the first quarter was low-scoring, both teams were able to produce more on the offensive end in the second half. In the end, Ellsworth held on for a 43-40 victory.All four teams will begin their regular seasons this weekend. For Ellsworth, the girls’ game will be at home against the Foxcroft Ponies at 7 p.m. Friday, Dec. 9.
