first_imgMichael Tunney pictured speaking at the launch of the Creative Strategy for Donegal recently.Donegal’s creative community is being urged to get involved in a partnership project to oversee and advise on the county’s new creative strategy.The strategy, launched recently at the Regional Cultural Centre in Letterkenny, was described that day as “a great first step towards establishing the right conditions for creative entrepreneurship in Donegal.”Those comments came from Head of Enterprise at Donegal Local Enterprise Office, Michael Tunney, who said this week it is important to maintain the momentum gathered from the launch to keep moving the plan forward. “On the day of the launch I said that the real process would begin with the journey of implementing the plan and that is one that we are starting out on now.”With that in mind, he said Donegal Local Enterprise Office is now seeking expressions of interest from people willing to get involved in a public, private partnership committee to oversee and advise on the implementation of the Strategic Action Plan For Creative Entrepreneurship in Donegal.“We had a fantastic consultation process that resulted in the document we launched recently, but now we really want to see expressions of interest from existing entrepreneurs in the creative industries sectors (Digital Media, Music Production, Photography and Design, Film, TV and Radio, Textiles and Fashion, Crafts and Artists etc, etc) for membership of the Donegal Creative Partnership.”Anyone interested in taking part, is asked to seek a copy of the criteria and application form Grace Korbel – Email:[email protected] or Tel: 074 9160735.
